On the Road to Professional Practitioner Studies at UTSLA

"A practitioner is not merely a body of knowledge but rather a state of consciousness that realizes oneness with the infinite. Dedicated to first demonstrating the New Thought Ancient Wisdom principles within their own life, a practitioner then serves as a spiritually therapeutic agent of the Spirit for the upliftment of every man, woman and child who requests healing of body, mind and spirit."
Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith

Thank you for your interest in Professional Practitioner Studies. The Sacred Order of Agape Practitioners is the healing arm of the Agape Spiritual Community. We are a service order dedicated to realizing the consciousness of Truth and Wholeness in the Agape community and the world at large.

Being an Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner is a way of life, a dedication to "anchoring the awareness of our essential perfection and oneness with the I AM Presence of the Self...." Practitioners prayerfully support the well-being of our spiritual community and actively serve in each of the ministries as well as Agape community activities.

“The preparation of Professional Practitioners is a consciousness building process that includes specific studies that apply to and prepare the student for advanced participation in spiritual community. The principles of New Thought-Ancient Wisdom are the foundation of this training along with the practices of meditation, treatment and visioning. This educational curriculum is intended to develop skills associated with the art of spiritual counseling, community building and spiritual leadership.”

Step 3: Practitioner Sessions: As part of the commitment to deepen in the application of spiritual principles and practices, practitioner students are required to work with an Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner. This course of study leads to a professional license and a position of sacred responsibility. An important element of the consciousness building process is done in sessions with an Agape Licensed Practitioner. It is important to begin working with an Agape Practitioner on a regular basis before beginning professional studies. Your application will require a written recommendation from the Practitioner with whom you have an ongoing relationship, one with whom you have had a number of sessions.

Step 4: Practitioner Previews: Once you have completed all required classes, attendance at the Practitioner Previews provides an overview of the Professional Practitioner Studies program, clarity about everything necessary for successful completion and a greater under-standing of the Practitioner consciousness. Attendance is mandatory at all three Practitioner Preview Sessions and reservations are required. (*see below for appointment instructions)

Practitioner Preview Sessions are held free of charge at Agape on:

Saturday, July 18, 2009     9:00 am - 12:00 noon
Saturday, Aug 08, 2009     9:00 am - 12:00 noon

It is not designed for those whose sole desire is to continue their personal spiritual growth and development. If solely interested in your own personal spiritual growth, UTSLA provides a broad array of classes for lifelong learning, spiritual growth and development. Being an Agape Licensed Practitioner is a calling.
