Rev. Leon Campbell, Jr, is the Director of the Agape Youth and Family Ministry at the Agape International Spiritual Center: one of the largest spiritual communities in the Los Angeles area. Rev. Campbell’s ministry serves over 1,200 children per month. In his role with Agape’s youth, his goal is to draw forth the greatness in every child.
In 2006, he traveled with Rev. Michael Beckwith, founder and spiritual director of Agape, to the historic Universal Peace Meditation in Sri Lanka. He was one of several religious leaders from around the world to participate in the ceremony and delivered the final prayer from the clergy to the one million participants in Sri Lanka and countless spectators from around the globe. He has accompanied the Agape’s Global Works Ministry to South Africa and Kenya as part of a humanitarian aid program. He was the producer and the director of the groundbreaking 2007 Agape Youth Revelation Conference in Washington, DC. During this conference, the youth were among the first to visit the Martin Luther King National Memorial with one of the last two living individuals who proposed the memorial, former Tuskegee Airman, Mr. Alfred Bailey. In September 2007, he, along with Rev. Michael, took part in one of the largest civil rights marches since the movement of the 1960’s in Jena, Louisiana. In 2011, he traveled to Cuba with 39 Agape participants from over 9 states on a religious/spiritual license where he was able to visit the Martin Luther King Center in Havana.
