Freedom Light Our Freedom Light Prison Ministry is hosting a "Healing & Revealing Service" at a Transition Home for men and/or women who are in recovery or recently released from a Government facility. 3. Back to the Beach and Beyond Pick up ~ Clean Up ~ Wake Up at Agape's Adopt-A-Beach Program. Learn and support Heal the Bay’s vital study of the origin of beach debris. 4. Adopt the Learning Garden Create the new Fiber Arts Garden Bed at The Learning Garden, Agape's adopted neighborhood botanical garden. 6. Peace for Common Peace We will be beautifying and energizing the new offices of Common Peace, Center for the Advancement of Nonviolence to assist them in their mission of spreading the teachings of King and Gandhi throughout our world. Some painting, organizing and moving stuff around. CP was born out of the first Season for Nonviolence LA Task Force founded by Agape and is a 501(c) 3 non-profit. 15 years and older. 7. People Who Care Youth Center This local youth and family counseling and support center needs a new coat of paint. Help provide an uplifting atmosphere for family and community healing. Ages 12 and up. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515
8. Safe Place for Youth SPY finds, stabilizes and assists homeless youth under the age of 25. We will help put together food packets and maybe do some gardening as well. Ages 15 and up. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515
9. Alcoholism Center for Women ACW’s mission is supporting the recovery from and prevention of alcoholism and other drug-related problems among all women at high risk for substance abuse. We will be doing some gardening projects at this wonderful safe haven and beacon of hope. 18 years and older. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515
10. Art Share Los Angeles Art Share provides a community based arts learning destination as well as an incubator for local and emerging artists by providing both safe shelter and a workplace to exhibit and perform. We will help commemorate the new beginning of this facility in a converted industrial building near downtown LA. General cleanup and more. 16 years and older. 12. George Washington Carver Middle School Outdoor Classroom Help nurture this brand new green education resource in mid city LA. We will assist with their fruit tree orchards and vegetable gardens. All ages. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext 1515
13. The Children’s Nature Institute Since 1985, CNI has provided hands-on educational programs tailored specifically for the children of Los Angeles. These programs are designed to open young minds to the living world. We will be prepping materials for the Whale Tale summer camp. Arts, crafts, office organizing. 15 years and older. 14. Agape Spirit Foundation This nonprofit (not part of Agape International Spiritual Center) is geared for change and change makers, housing Vets and ex-inmates. 16. Community Services Unlimited Inc. CSU is a 501©3 non-profit organization. Their mission is to foster communities that address the inequalities and barriers that make sustainable communities and self-reliant life-styles difficult. 17. Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition Operating out of a rent free kitchen in West Hollywood, the Coalition provides hot nutritious fresh meals, seven days a week to the homeless and hungry of that part of our community. We will do some intensive cleaning of their service fleet and then do a neighborhood walkthrough to pick up litter and connect with the community. All ages welcomed. 18. Proyecto Jardin Proyecto Jardin is communal garden in Boyle Heights where people find the inspiration and common ground necessary to build a healthy, peaceful community. We will be gardening, painting signs, and an array of landscaping tasks in this organic oasis on the eastside of Los Angeles. All ages welcomed. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515
19. Home Sweet Home Help lovingly beautify our own Agape International Spiritual Center. We will refresh, revitalize, reorganize and repaint the storage loft for Gracious Spaces of Agape and other activities to make our spiritual home more hospitable. All ages welcomed. 20. Horsin’ Around Compton Jr. Posse Youth Equestrians provides motivational experiences with horses for local disadvantaged young people. This will be a general cleanup day. Folks should know that they will be with animals so if they have allergies they should prepare appropriately. Children over 12 years old with parent or guardian OK. 21. Serving Social Justice The Southern California Library is a people’s library in South Los Angeles dedicated to preserving the histories of communities in pursuit of justice. We will go through community history archives and help the Library make one or more of its key collections more useable for education and research. We will also do some cleaning. All ages welcomed. 22. Critter Crusade We will be working at local shelters, enhancing the quality of life for our furry friends-in-need. We will be walking dogs, cuddling cats, cleaning compounds and more. All ages welcomed. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515
23. SHARE! Self-Help and Recovery Exchange SHARE! Supports people as they pursue growth and recovery in a non-judgmental environment. They provide meetings, housing and volunteer-to-job opportunities for the people they serve. We will be helping them with cleaning, painting and repairs to beautify SHARE at their two facilities. 18 years and older, please. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext.1515 24. Free Arts Free Arts for Abused Children is a nonprofit organization that integrates the healing and therapeutic power of the arts into the lives of children and youth who have been abused, are homeless or at-risk of falling through the cracks of the system, as well as their families in need. 26. Westside Children’s Center Westside Children's Center provides integrated family services for under-served young children and their families in West Los Angeles including early care and education, foster care and adoption, and family support services. We will be gardening , disinfecting and cleaning classrooms and playground equipment and organizing their storage area. 13 years and older. Action Agape: (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515
27. Sol Adventurers Sol Adventurers empowers at risk youth globally to discover their gifts and share them with the world. They provide one on one mentorship and enrichment programs that includes: gardening, recycling, African drumming, dance, reggae, hip hop and capoeira. 28. Children’s Lifesaving Foundation CLF provides recreation, education and housing for homeless and at-risk youth and their families throughout Los Angeles. We will help clean their new offices in the old Malibu City Hall. Ages 12 and up. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515
29. St. Joseph Center St. Joseph Center provides a vast variety of services for the working poor and homeless in the westside of Los Angeles and Santa Monica. We will be cleaning and organizing Bread and Roses Café which serves over 150 homeless men, women and children every day. 12 and older. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515
30. Community Build Youth and Community Center Garden Community Build, Inc. is a nonprofit community development corporation dedicated to the revitalization of South Los Angeles. We will be helping to install this community garden. 5 years and up. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515

32. A New Way of Life A New Way of Life provides re-entry and reunification services to women who are transitioning from prison to happy and satisfying lives. We will help to create some green space at their facility that staff and residents will maintain. 12 and up. Action Agape (310) 348-1260 ext. 1515
