Greetings of peace and love to you!
How elegant that as we enter a year there is a month early in our calendar devoted to love. I’m reminded of Osho’s words about how love is not a relationship; love is relating. Love’s honeymoon begins but never ends because love itself knows no full stop.
When we contemplate how love is an expression of relating, we realize that all of creation and what we experience in it is relating in an atmosphere of divine, unconditional love. Even circumstances that cause us pain reveal the kindheartedness of the universe if we know how to properly relate to them. What I mean by such a statement is that even when we are passing through challenges they come to us in an aspect of love that has knocked on the door of our life to wake us up, to remind us of who and what we really are. The universe and everything in it is constantly giving us feedback about our journey into love, the love that we ourselves are. Where love is, freedom is, and becoming spiritually liberated into our own nature is what we seek through love and acts of loving.
The process of moving into learning about love is unlearning the untruths we have been taught about it. In fact, the whole process of spiritual evolution happens through unlearning the false beliefs we have been taught through socialization. And this includes what we have been taught about love. So I encourage all of us to dive deeply into our own hearts and realize the possibility of cultivating a genuine understanding of love so that we may cultivate hearts of love as wide as the world.
